To improve the treatment and welfare of youth workers in Gyeonggi-do by providing wage compensation, welfare benefits, and asset formation support. This aims to encourage long-term employment.
Target
Youths aged 19 to 39 residing in Gyeonggi-do, working 36 hours or more per week. (Income criteria: Monthly salary of KRW 3,340,000 or less, health insurance of KRW 118,500 or less (150% of median income)).
Details
Support for Youth Workers in SMEs: Asset-forming project through wage supplementation - Up to KRW 4,800,000 over two years, with quarterly payments of KRW 600,000 in Gyeonggi Local Currency. Welfare Points: Welfare support using the Gyeonggi Youth Mall. - Up to KRW 1,200,000 in welfare points per year. Youth Pension: Asset-forming savings product. Individual to provincial government matching support at a 1:1 ratio (choose from KRW 100,000, 200,000, or 300,000 per month).
Period
April 2024 (one-time, 2,700 participants selected). June, August, October 2024 (three times, a total of 36,000 participants selected). Verification and management of participants’ eligibility and status changes: January – December 2024.
