Purpose
To improve workers’ quality of life by enhancing labor conditions, promoting work-life balance, and analyzing the effectiveness of reduced working hours to form a societal consensus.
Target
SMEs located in Gyeonggi-do with at least 5 to no more than 299 regular employees that wish to introduce a 4.5-day workweek
Details
○ Pilot operation of flexible working hour reduction options, including 4.5-day workweek (with flexible days), 35-hour workweek, and bi-weekly 4-day workweek, without wage reduction.
○ Wage compensation for reduced working hours (KRW 26,000/person per month).
○ Support for company consulting and development of attendance management systems.
○ Surveys and research studies for analyzing policy effectiveness targeting businesses and workers.
